Lewis’ big fourth quarter keys Anniston’s rally from behind to beat Munford in classic Class 4A, Area 8 championship game.

ANNISTON — Most valuable player Kyree Lewis scored 16 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, and Anniston overcame a nine-point deficit to beat Munford 51-50 in Tuesday’s Class 4A, Area 8 championship game at Anniston High School.

The Bulldogs earned the right to play host to their sub-regional round game and will play Wednesday’s Area 5 loser between Montgomery Catholic and Booker T. Washington.

Munford will go on the road to play the winner.
