Crawford leads Donoho’s boys past Spring Garden. Glencoe’s Smith, Piemdont’s Pinto, Heflin’s Ware light it up from the arc. Barnwell, Salster power PV. Montgomery powers Glencoe’s girls, and Spring Garden tops Donoho.

SPRING GARDEN — Ethan Crawford poured in 28 points, and Donoho’s boys gave first-year coach Cory Hughes his first signature win with a 52-40 victory at Spring Garden.

Hartwell Church added 13 points, including three 3-pointers.

Brady Ruark and Zane Edwards led Spring Garden with nine points apiece.

GLENCOE 79, ALEXANDRIA 69: Glencoe’s Grant Smith hit four 3-pointers on the way to 30 points.

The Yellow Jackets also got 14 points from Jalen Hunter and 13 apiece from Durrell Hampton and Jace White.

Alexandria got four 3-pointers apiece from M.J. Morris and Cole Wheeler. Morris finished with 25 points, and Wheeler scored 17.

PIEDMONT 64, WEAVER 36: Rollie Pinto hit seven 3-pointers on the way to 25 points to lead Piedmont. He hit five 3-pointers in the second quarter.

Piedmont hit 13 threes … seven from Pinto, two from Eli Johnson, two from Nick Glover and one apiece from Ben Dempsey and Ethan Tidwell. Dempsey and Taylon Swain added eight points apiece. Glover and Tidwell scored seven apiece.

D.J. Marbury paced Weaver with 15 points, and Phoxton Benjamin scored eight points to go with 11 rebounds.

PLEASANT VALLEY 70, WELLBORN 23: Jake Barnwell scored 18 points to go with five rebounds and four assists, and Pleasant Valley improved to 4-0 under first-year coach Marcus Herbert.

Braxton Salster added 15 points and five rebounds. Brody Barnwell turned in 10 points and  eight rebounds, and Mason Myers had 10 points. 

Justus Williams paced Wellborn with 12 points. 

CLEBURE COUNTY 80, LINCOLN 55: Lyric Ware’s 23-point night included four 3-pointers, and Cleburne County (5-1) rolled past Lincoln.

Cade Shubert hit one trey on the way to 19 points, and Caleb Fields scored eight points.

Lincoln got 21 points from Brayden Collins. JaMichael Shepherd added nine. 

BANKS 57, HOPE CHRISTIAN 56 (OT): Tavin Jackson led Hope with 21 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Kailub Sparks added 12 points, seven steals and five rebounds.

Girls

GLENCOE 67, ALEXANDRIA 61 (OT): Kinlee Montgomery scored six of her 33 points in overtime to lead Glencoe past Alexandria. Her night included four 3-pointers, three in the first half.

The Yellow Jackets also got 14 points from Payton Gray, who hit three 3-pointers. Riley Helms added 12 points, and Katy Talbot added eight.

Alexandria’s Charlee Parris hit four 3-pointers on the way to 28 points. She scored eight points in overtime, including two treys.

Zoey Wilson hit three 3-pointers on the way to 13 points, and Cali Hess added 13 points.

SPRING GARDEN 59, DONOHO 29: Kylie Bates scored 13 of her 18 points in the first half, and Spring Garden topped Donoho. She hit two 3-pointers.

Addie Word added 13 points, and Maya Jennings scored 12.

Donoho’s Bentlee Pahman hit three 3-pointers and led the Falcons with 11 points. Harper Draper and Maddie Shute added six apiece.

HOMEWOOD 56, OXFORD 51: Takayvia Boyd led Oxford with 22 points, 16 in the first half. MiKynlei Mosley added 11 points, including two 3-pointers, and Bri Wilson scored eight points.
