Pleasant Valley sweeps to Sandy Hunter Invitational title. Glencoe goes 3-2, takes third place.

PLEASANT VALLEY — Pleasant Valley swept through the seven-team Sandy Hunter Invitational on Saturday.
The tournament featured DAR, Glencoe, Geraldine, Holly Pond, Gadsden City, Pleasant Valley, Spring Garden. The Raiders beat Gadsden City 20-25, 25-13, 15-3; DAR 23-25, 25-22, 15-7; and DAR in the championship match, 25-23, 25-20.
Pleasant Valley’s top performers on the day.
— Madison Schwabe: 18 kills, 20 digs, two aces.
— Ella Parris: 17 kills, seven blocks, 19 digs, two aces.
— Cailey Almaroad: two kills, five aces, 17 digs.
— Ellie Patterson: 26 kills, eight blocks, six digs.
— Elise Wheeler: three kills, five blocks, nine digs, 58 assists, one ace.
— Zalie Curvin: one kill, 13 digs.
GLENCOE: The Yellow Jackets took third in the Sandy Hunter Invitational, losing to Lost to Holly Pond 25-20, 23-25, 10-15; beating Spring Garden 25-14, 25-19; beating Gadsden City 25-13, 25-13; beating Geraldine 25-11, 25-16 and falling to DAR 17-25, 25-20, 16-18.
Glencoe’s top performers for the day:— Evelyn Nowak: 50 kills, 10 digs, one block.
— Mia Talbot: 47 kills, 15 aces, 27 digs, four assists.
— Kinlee Montgomery: 61 assists, two kills, seven aces, 17 digs.
— Avery Barkley: 55 assists, seven aces, 12 digs.
— Gracyn Bunt: 60 digs, four aces.
— Millie Chambless: 17 kills, one assist, one dig, eight blocks.
— Katie Talbot: 14 kills, five aces, 11 digs, two blocks.
— Payton Gray: 10 aces, 10 digs, two assists.
