Pleasant Valley goes 5-1 at Supreme Courts, wins silver bracket. Donoho goes 2-4 at Albertville Invitational

GUNTERSVILLE — Pleasant Valley won the silver bracket of the Battle By the Lake on Saturday, going 5-1.
The Raiders lost to Decatur 17-25, 24-26 then reeled off five consecutive victories, beating Pell City 25-16, 18-25, 15-8; Clements 25-17, 21-25, 15-12; White Plains 25-22, 25-22; Pisgah 25-21, 25-10; and Sylacauga 25-11, 25-13.
Pleasant Valley’s top performers on the day:
— Madison Schwabe: 36 kills, seven blocks, 40 digs, nine aces.
— Ella Parris: 17 kills, 17 blocks, four aces, 42 digs.
— Cailey Almaroad: five blocks, five kills, 27 digs, three aces.
— Ellie Patterson- 33 kills, 19 blocks, four digs, seven aces.
— Zalie Curvin- 32 digs, three aces.
— Bella Uesry- 10 kills, six blocks, three digs.
— Elise Wheeler- two blocks, two kills, 21 digs, 103 assists, three aces.
— Abby Evans: two digs.
DONOHO: The Falcons went 2-4 at the Albertville Invitational, beating Scottsboro and Geraldine and falling to Fyffe twice, Brewer and Albertville.
