Defending champion Goforth, Moore tied for Gadsden Country Club Invitational lead. Clay two strokes back.

GADSDEN — Defending champion Ken Goforth and Dane Moore shot 4-under-par 67 in Friday’s qualifying round and lead Gadsden Country Club Invitational.

Brennan Clay, Chase Kennedy and Corey Ray are two strokes back at 69, and Bo Hayes shot the day’s other under-par round at 70.

Twenty-one players shot 80 or below to make the 54-hole championship cut. The rest of the field will play a 36-hole tournament, with scores from Saturday and Sunday counting.
