Donoho’s Chandler 1A-2A co-leader after first round, and Alexandria’s Stokes tied for eighth. Weaver’s boys, White Plains’ girls in fourth place.

Donoho’s Carson Chandler is tied for the boys’ Class 1A-2A lead after the first day of state golf action.

The senior shot a 1-under-par 71 at Robert Trent Jones-Dothan and finished the first round tied with Elba’s Jay Wilson, the 2025 medalist.

Weaver’s boys are in fourth place in Class 3A at 49-over 337, 25 strokes behind leader Montgomery Academy. John Curtis-Reeves and Caden Watts lead the Bearcats at 8-over-par 80, two of four golfers tied for ninth place.

White Plains’ girls stand in fourth place in the Class 4A-5A state tournament at RTJ-Silver Lakes. The Wildcats shot a 47-over 263, 27 strokes behind leader Houston Academy.

Cam McElroy paced White Plains on Monday, shooting 14-over 86. She’s one of three players tied for 11th place.

Alexandria’s Jasmine Stokes shot an 11-over 83 and stands tied for eighth, 13 strokes behind leader Grayson Kelly, of Mobile Christian.
