Going around the horn with Friday’s area high school baseball and softball action and over the pitch for soccer:

Baseball

RANBURNE 11, DONOHO 1: Owen Henderson had a double and three RBIs, and Ranburne improved to 11-4-1. Pinch hitter Ridge Thompson had a double and an RBI.

Carter Loren had a triple and an RBI. Bo Gibbs and James Ward each had a double, a run and an RBI.

Henderson pitched four innings, allowing two hits with no walks and no earned runs with six strikeouts.

Donoho’s Sam Montgomery had a double and an RBI.

JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 11, ANNISTON 4: Jake Burgoon went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run, and JCA improved to 1-1.

Bryson Dowdey went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run, and Grant Daffron had two RBIs and a run. T.J. Scott had a single, a run and an RBI, and Anthony Gooch scored four runs.

Dowdey got the win, striking out 10 batters while allowing three hits and one walk in four innings.

Anniston’s Cameron Williams went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Ciandre Walker had a single and an RBI. Zamari Hawkins singled and scored a run.

MUNFORD 3, CLEBURNE COUNTY 0: Braydon Nichols, Landon Gallahair and B.J. Anderson combined to hold Cleburne County to four hits, and the Lions upped to 7-5.

Gallahair and Anderson had four strikeouts apiece, and Nichols had two.

Anderson went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs, and D.J. Hailes went 2-for-3 with a double and a run. Braylon Stewart had two RBIs.

Cleburne County’s Gavin Robinson went 3-for-3, and Aiden Laminack had a solid outing on the mound, allowing five hits, two earned runs and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings.

OXFORD 7, AMERICAN CHRISTIAN 5: Ayden Noyola went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Oxford improved to 12-6.

Zakaree Newton went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run, and Canaan Whitman went 2-for-4 with a double. Rocco Maniscalco went 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI.

Bryson Bradford got the win, allowing 10 hits but only three earned runs and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings.

WOODLAND 7, HANDLEY 6: Brody Carter’s two-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning gave Woodland the lead, and the Bobcats made it stand while improving to 2-6.

Carter finished 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI, and Yarbrough went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Tripp Morin went 2-for-4 with two runs, and Connor Shepperd went 1-for-2 with three RBIs.

Paxton Gowens got the win in relief, allowing three hits with three strikeouts and a walk in three innings.

Handley’s Skylar Hester went 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Aden Anthony and Alex Busbin each had a single and two runs.

SARDIS 14, GLENCOE 3: Glencoe’s Cooper Gomez went 2-for-2 with a double. Daniel Bradley and Luke Johnson each had a single and an RBI, and Jaxon Hollis singled and scored two runs.

Softball

OHATCHEE WINS TWO: The Indians (11-4) beat Decatur 8-5 and Florence 7-3.

Gracie Reed went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run against Decatur, and Annie Cox went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run.

Alanah Fitch went 1-for-3 with a double and two runs, and Reese Steward went 1-for-1 with two runs and an RBI.

Blaze Steward went 2-for-2 with a triple, a double, four RBIs and a run against Florence. Cox went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs.

MUNFORD SPLITS: The Lions beat Kinston 5-3 and lost to Straughn 5-3, moving to 17-5 on the season.

Brooklyn Pressley homered and drove in two runs against Kinston, and Chloe Pickette went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Madison Arnold went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

Pressley got the win, allowing six hits, two walks and one earned run with two strikeouts in six innings of work.

Pressley went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI against Straughn. Kastin Lathem hit a triple.

Soccer

JACKSONVILLE BOYS 1, PELL CITY 1: John Hollingsworth scored Jacksonville’s goal, and Jackson Patterson had 15 saves.
