OXFORD — Chris Latson hit four 3-pointers on the way to 25 points, and Oxford downed visiting Minor 64-48 in their Class 6A Northeast subregional game Saturday at Oxford.
The Yellow Jackets will advance to the Northeast Regional to face Gadsden City on Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. in Pete Mathews Coliseum.
Marcus Perry Jr. added 15 points, and Jaylen Alexander scored 12.
CLASS 4A BOYS
ALEXANDRIA 73, DAR 66: Evan White scored 21 points to lead Alexandria, and the Valley Cubs advanced to the Northeast Regional.
Alexandria will play the Ashville-Randolph winner on Feb. 18 at 4:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. in Pete Mathews Coliseum.
M.J. Morris added 19 points, and Cole Wheeler’s 17 points included three 3-pointers. Royce Trantham chipped in eight points.
ANNISTON 57, BOOKER T. WASHINGTON 38: Kyree Lewis scored a team-high 17 points, and Anniston advanced to the Central Regional.
The Bulldogs will play Fairfield on Feb. 18 at 4:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. in Alabama State University’s Acadome.
Kaden Brown hit two 3-pointers on the way to 10 points, and Jakorie Carr added nine points.
CLASS 3A BOYS
WESTBROOK CHRISTIAN 65, ASBURY 49: 1. Brady Carden amassed 23 points, 17 rebounds, three assists and two steals, and Westbrook advanced to the Northeast Regional.
The Warriors will play Collinsville on Feb. 18 at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. in Pete Mathew Coliseum.
Titus Jones added 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and one steal. Brodey Wood added seven points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists.
Bo Kilgo’s five came with seven rebounds and three assists, and Case Burton had eight rebounds and eight assists to go with three blocks and four points.
CLASS 1A BOYS
WINTERBORO 72, FAITH CHRISTIAN 37: Daylon Truss scored all 19 of his points in the first three quarters, and Winterboro advanced to the Northeast Regional.
The Bulldogs will play Appalachian on Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. in Pete Mathews Coliseum.
Thomas Gooden’s 12 points included two 3-pointers, and Kaden Jones hit two threes on the way to 10 points.
Faith’s Colin Anderson hit four 3-pointers to account for his 12 points, and Ean Taft added 10 points.
