Alexandria’s boys first, Weaver second headed into Saturday’s conclusion of the state tournament in Huntsville. Weaver’s girls in command, Alexandria second.

HUNTSVILLE — The 2026 Class 1A-4A boys’ state wrestling title will come down to two of Calhoun County’s finest and the defending champion.
Through two days of the state tournament, Calhoun County champion Alexandria leads with 135 points. Weaver is second with 132.
Defending champion Tallassee stands in third place going into Saturday’s consolation and championship finals at Huntsville’s Von Braun Center.
White Plains remains in the top 10, in sixth place with 55 points. Complete results can be found at this link.
Alexandria’s Jeremy Lambert (120), Ryker Houston (126), Johnathan Santos (132) and Jaden Whittaker (138) will wrestle in championship finals. Dion Guy (144) and Kion Guy (150) reached consolation finals.
Ethan Maxwell (165) and Owen Cromer (190) reached fifth-place matches.
Weaver’s Haiden Hise (138), Dylan Brown (165), Gianluca Torres (175), Dalton Fink (190) reached championship finals. Peyton Andrews (132) and Zach Hooks (215) reached consolation finals, and Gabriel Snyder (157) will wrestle for fifth place.
Whittaker and Hise will square off in the 138 championship final.
Tallassee has seven wrestlers still alive, three in championship finals.
Alexandria seeks its first state title in wrestling. Weaver, the reigning state runner up, seeks its 13th state title, including back-to-back-to-back state titles between 2022-24.
White Plains’ James Heard (157) and Hudson Inglasbe (285) reached their championship finals, and Lyric Brown will wrestle for fifth place,\
Cleburne County stands in 13th place with 36.5 points, with Connor Causey (113) and Jacob Biggers (132) awaiting fifth-place matches.
Wellborn is 17th with 28 points. Noah Smith (106) and Kaydon King (150) reached consolation finals.
Ranburne, 18th with 26 points, has Jack Yearwood (175) in the consolation final, and Levi Cole (285) will wrestle for fifth place.
Piedmont, 26th with 17 points, has Myles Bailey (113) the consolation final.
Saks’ Tristan Garrett (120) and Ohatchee’s Levi Sullins (106) reached fifth-place matches.
Girls
WEAVER IN COMMAND: Weaver’s girls are dominating en route to repeating as Class 1A-5A state champions, leading second-place Alexandria 104-58.
Lincoln is third with 46 points, and Cleburne County is sixth with 26 points.
Weaver’s Jaylee Carter (120), Ashlyn Coleman (132), Ariel Sargent (138), Heaven Bishop (165) and Baleigh Brown (185) have wrestled their way to championship finals. Sarah Gokey (100), Shyanne Scott (107), Ali Anderson (114), Ashawnie McKinney (126) and Caityn Edmonson (145) await consolation semifinals.
Alexandria’s Kamryn Buchanan (100), Elizabeth Hunter (114) and Emerald Hunter (165) advanced to championship finals. Katelyn Robertson (132), Savannah Fischer (138), April Perterson (145) and Mia Arcos (152) reached consolation semifinals.
Lincoln’s Au’nhylaa Smith (114) and Jailah McGowen (235) reached championship finals. Evelyn Dobbs (120), Alana Bragg (165) and Brooklyn Wigley (185) made consolation semifinals.
Cleburne County’s Avalena Williamson (107) made her championship final, and Layla Poore (120) and Falon Curvin (145) reached consolation semifinals.
Piedmont’s Laney Hollis (138) and Ameria Fitten (235) reached consolation semifinals.
Wellborn’s Bentany Fowler (138) reached consolation semifinals.
In Class 6A, Oxford’s Carleigh Arriaga (165) reached the third-place match.
