Hughes takes in ‘bittersweet’ reality as Donoho boys rally to beat Faith Christian, win 1A, Area 12 championship.

JACKSONVILLE — Most valuable player Ethan Crawford led a Donoho comeback, and the Falcons edged Faith Christian 61-59 in Monday’s Class 1A, Area 12 championship game at Jacksonville Christian.

Donoho (12-17) earned the right to play host to the Wadley-Winterboro loser in Saturday’s sub-regional. Faith Christian will go on the road the play the winner.

Crawford scored 24 of his game-high 33 points in the second half as Donoho overcame 24-point showings from Parker Robertson and Colin Anderson. The Falcons also got 11 points from Carson Chandler and 10 from Hartwell Church.
