Oxford’s Jenkins, Mims take different routes to chances to play football in college, Jenkins at Kentucky Wesleyan and Mims at Tennessee Valley.

OXFORD — Football took center stage in the second of Oxford’s Thursday signing celebration ceremonies.

Quarterback Caleb Jenkins celebrated his signing with Kentucky Wesleyan, a Division II school in Owensboro. Mims, a lineman, will play for a new program at Tennessee Valley Community Christian College in Huntsville.
