Off to late start to the season, Anniston’s boys make late run to top Jacksonville. Golden Eagle girls build on case for county’s top seed.

JACKSONVILLE — Much like Anniston’s season, it took time for the Bulldogs to get going Monday at Jacksonville.

They found their stride just in time.

Tariq Judkins got a timely spurt started in the with a driving bucket and free throw with 47.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter, and Anniston held off Jacksonville 56-52.

Jacksonville’s girls, meanwhile, improved to 13-1 with a 52-31 victory over Anniston.
