Weaver boys, girls win tournaments at St. John Paul II; Cleburne County, Ranburne and White Plains go 1-2-3 at Ranburne Bulldogs Invitational; Alexandria boys, girls take second in Otis Weatherly Duals.

MADISON — Wea Weaver’s girls won the inaugural St, John Paul II Invitational on Friday, and the boys won the Jayson Spencer Invitational on Saturday at St. John Paul II High School, in Madison.
Weaver’s girls scored 181.5 points to lead a 13-team field. Grissom finished second at 140.5.
Weaver’s Josie Gochenouer (107 pounds), Ashlyn Coleman (132), Heaven Bishop (165) and Mia Williams (235) won their weight classes. Sarah Gokey (100), Shyanne Scott (114), Ariel Sargent (138) and Caitlyn Edmondson (145) were runners up.
Weaver’s boys put up 196 points to edge Grissom (187) and Scottsboro (186.5) in an 18-team field.
Weight-class winners included Gabriel Snyder (157 pounds), Dylan Brown (165) and Zachary Hooks (215). Peyton Andrews (132), Haiden Hise (138), Gianluca Torres (175) and Dalton Fink (190) were runners up.
CLEBURNE COUNTY: The Tigers amassed 199.5 points and won the Ranburne Bulldogs Invitational on Saturday. Ranburne took second with 112.5, and White Plains was third with 110.
Cleburne County’s weight-class champions included Hudson Braxton (106), Connor Causey (113), Owen Young (126), Jacob Biggers (132), Liam Mays (138) and Jackson Letson (144). Laken Stanley (144), Cael Fulmer (150), Hayden Norris (157), Cal Shubert (175) and Rylan Hill (190) were runners up.
Ranburne’s Carter Driver (120), Jack Yearwood (175) and Levi Cole (285) finished first, and Sawyer Freed (165) was a runner up.
White Plains’ James Heard (157) and Wesley Bebee (165) won their weight classes. Jack Ledbetter (126), Chandler Murphy (132) and Lyric Brown (138) were runners up.
Wellborn got runner-up finishes from Erik Medina (113) and Zachary Pressley (215), and Saks” Tristan Garrett (120) was a runner up.
Alabama School for the Blind’s Christopher Weaver (190) won his weight class.
ALEXANDRIA: The Valley Cubs’ boys and girls finished as runners up in the Otis Weatherly Memorial Duals Saturday at Alexandria.
Arab’s boys and Lincoln’s girls won.
Alexandria’s boys opened with a 40-36 loss to Arab but rebounded to beat Lincoln 58-20, Oxford 66-15 and Piedmont 63-17.
Alexandria’s girls beat Piedmont 54-12 and Oxford 60-6, fell to Lincoln 36-34 then beat Arab 54-12.
