Oxford boys win in Jasper Christmas Classic. Alexandria sweeps. Cleburne County, Hope Christian victorious.

JASPER — Marcus Perry Jr. hit three 3-pointers on the way to 12 points, and Oxford beat Greenforest McCalep Christian Academy 61-41 on Friday in the City of Jasper Christmas Classic.

Greenforest is based in Decatur, Ga.

Chris Latson scored all 10 of his points, including two 3-pointers, in the first quarter. Jaylen Alexander added nine points, and Oxford got eight points apiece from Caleb Wilson and Jermaine Caver.

Caver hit two treys. 

ALEXANDRIA 90, WEAVER 44: Alexandria caught fire behind the 3-point line at Weaver on Friday.

Cole Wheeler hit seven 3-pointers on the way to 28 points, and J.J. Beason hit five tres on the way to 22 points. Ryan Lewis added three treys while scoring 11 points.

Alexandria hit 17 threes overall.

Junior Allen’s four 3-pointers accounted for his 12 points to pace Weaver. 

CLEBURNE COUNTY 43, CENTRAL-CLAY 40: Cade Shubert led the way with 17 points, and Cleburne County won the Tricounty Tournament at Lineville while improving to 9-1.

Cavin Bates added nine points, and Lyric Ware scored seven.

Central-Clay’s J.D. Hall hit two 3-pointers and scored a team-high 11 points.

HOPE CHRISTIAN 49, TRINITY CHRISTIAN 44: Carter Slick paced Hope with 18 points, including five 3-pointers. He also had three steals.

Kailub Sparks added 16 points and seven steals, and Tavin Jackson had eight points and three rebounds.

NORTHRIDGE 47, ANNISTON 42: Kyrie Lewis led Anniston with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Kaden Brown hit two treys on the way to eight points, and Jakorie Carr added seven.

Girls

ALEXANDRIA 61, WEAVER 29: Charlee Parris led the way with 20 points, including two 3-pointers, as Alexandria won at Weaver.

LaNajia Redwine added 19 points, and Cali Hess added 16.

Aliyah Marks hit two 3-pointers on the way to 15 points to lead Weaver.
