Creel’s big performance, Rippa’s game-winning field goal earn Jax State right to host CUSA Championship for the second year in a row.

JACKSONVILLE — Make it two years in a row that Jacksonville State will play host the CUSA Championship.
Quarterback Caden Creel accounted for 347 yards in total offense and three touchdowns, and Garrison Rippa his a 28-yard field as time expired to lift the Gamecocks over conference co-leader Western Kentucky on Saturday in AmFirst Stadium.
The Gamecocks (8-4, 7-1 CUSA), the defending CUSA champions, clinched hosting rights for the second year in a row. They will play Kennesaw State on Friday at 6 p.m.
