Cheatwood leads White Plains boys past Glencoe. Weaver’s Marbury, Faith’s Anderson, Oxford’s Perry turn in big performances. Hokes Bluff girls win Champions tourney, and Alexandria runner up.

LINCOLN — Bryson Cheatwood scored a game-high 23 points, and White Plains boys beat Glencoe 61-54 during Monday’s action in the Lincoln Round Robin Classic.

Cheatwood scored 14 points in the second half, and Will Graham scored all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter, including two 3-pointers.

Glencoe got nine points  apiece from Davis Honeycutt, Jace White, Durrell Hampton, Bryce Borntrager and Grant Smith.

WEAVER: Playing in Lincoln’s round robin classic, Weaver fell to Lincoln 57-47.

D.J. Marbury scored more than half of Weaver’s, with a game-high 24. He also had eight rebounds.

Lincoln got 15 points from Brayden Collins and 12 from JaMichael Ellis.

FAITH CHRISTIAN: Playing in its round robin classic, Faith’s boys downed Woodland 60-51 on Monday.

Colin Anderson hit five 3-pointers on the way to 22 points. Parker Robertson added 15 points, and the Lions got 14 from Dylan Rogers.

Woodland got 13 points from Brayden Johnson, 11 from Nate Herra and 10 from Eli Wiggins. Johnson and Herra hit three 3-pointers apiece.

OXFORD: Playing at Huntsville, Marcus Perry Jr. had the hot hand, but Oxford’s boys fell to Gainesville (Ga.) 63-56 on Monday.

Perry scored a game-high 24 points on eight 3-pointers, including four in the second quarter.

Chris Latson added 13 points, and Caleb Wilson scored 11.

Girls

ALEXANDRIA: The Valley Cubs finished as runner-up in the Champions Holiday Classic, beating Central-Clay 57-24 on Saturday and falling to Hokes Bluff 46-40 in Monday’s final.

Cali Hess led the Valley Cubs with 17 points against Central-Clay. Charlee Parris and Lanajia Redwine added 12 points apiece.

Stevie Giddens led Central-Clay with nine points.

Against Hokes Bluff, Alexandria got 16 points apiece from Parris and Kate Wheeler.

Haylen Marbut led Hokes Bluff with 14 points, all in the second half. Mazely Ball added 13 points, and Addison Simmons added 10.
