More ‘girl power’

Six Oxford athletes, including two in flag football, celebrate signings with five different colleges.

OXFORD — The “girl power” signing day theme continued Friday, Oxford style.

A day after five female athletes from Alexandria celebrated their college signings, six Oxford athletes had their day in Oxford’s Champions Sports Complex.

The signees included Gabby Lindsey (flag football) with Hendrix College, Do’Niyia Rutledge (flag football) with Hendrix College, Charlie Lambert (tennis) Snead State Community College, Emma Tims-Becerra (softball) with Enterprise State Community College, Annabelle Lamberth (cross country) with Young Harris and Samantha Lee (cross country) with Northeast Alabama Community College.
