PIEDMONT — Quarterback Cole Austin accounted for 174 total yards and three touchdowns, and Piedmont downed visiting Glencoe 46-0 on Friday to finish the regular season and Class 3A, Region 6 play undefeated.

The Bulldogs (10-0, 8-0), the region’s top playoff seed, will play host to Phil Campbell in first-round action on Nov. 7.

Glencoe (7-3, 6-2), the region’s third season, will go on the road to play Winfield.

Piedmont finished the regular season unbeaten for the second year in a row, marking the first time since 2015-16 the Bulldogs accomplished that feat.

Austin completed five of nine passes for 115 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns.

Rollie Pinto rushed for 41 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 55 yards. He also threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Mason Morrow. 

Piedmont’s Chase Kirkpatrick returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown.

WESTBROOK CHRISTIAN 48, WELLBORN 6: Brody Blevins completed 14 of 19 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns, and Westbrook Christian finished the regular season 9-1 overall, 7-1 in Class 3A, Region 6.

The Warriors will play host to Vinemont in the first round of the playoffs Nov. 7.

Wellborn (5-4, 5-3) will play at Gordo.

Westbrook Christian’s Wensley Shannon rushed six times for a team-high 74 yards. Brodey Wood rushed six times for 57 yards and a touchdown, and Maximus Jones’ 16 rushing yards included a touchdown run.

Brodie Johnson caught five passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. Jones and Bo Kilgo also caught a touchdown pass apiece. 

Read Barber went 6-for-6 on extra points and kicked a 30-yard field goal. He put all eight of his kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks and delivered a 52-yard punt in his one try.

Easton Skaggs led the defense with nine tackles. Brooks Whiteside and Johnathon Hersman had eight apiece.

RANBURNE 29, SPRING GARDEN 21: Cason Jones completed 16 of 23 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns, and Ranburne finished its season 4-6.

Aiden Whitman rushed 17 times for 64 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a touchdown pass and caught three passes for 48 yards.

Asher Brown caught five passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.Seth McAdams added six catches for 41 yards, and Aiden Jackson had three catches for 37 yards and two touchdowns.

Brady Ruark completed 14 of 25 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for a touchdown.

The Panthers (6-4) will open the Class 1A playoffs at Hackleburg on Nov. 7.
