Ohatchee, Faith Chrisitan, Donoho and Jacksonville clinch area hosting rights. Pleasant Valley splits trimatch. Glencoe’s Nowak reaches career milestone.

RAINBOW CITY — Ohatchee swept a trimatch Tuesday, beating Westbrook Christian 17-25, 25-20, 25-19, 28-26 in Class 3A, Area 12 play then sweeping Lincoln 27-25, 25-16.
The Indians clinched the right to play host to the area tournament and will play Piedmont at a date and time to be determined.
Ohatchee’s top performers:
— Kate Ryan: one kill, 53 assists, eight aces, six digs.
— Ayla Crook: two kills, four aces, 15 digs, one block.
— Emily Riddle: 17 kills, two digs, six blocks.
— Bailey Fowler: five kills, one ace, two digs, one block.
— Alanah Fitch: 27 kills, one assist, two aces, 10 digs.
— Ellie Vice: seven kills, one block.
— Mollee Barnes: one assist, two aces, 13 digs.
— Haydyn Lathers: four digs.
— Sophie Tuiolosega: one block.
FAITH CHRISTIAN: The Lions beat Woodland 25-12, 25-7, 25-9 in Class 1A, Area 12 play. The victory assured Faith the right to play host to the area tournament Oct. 14.
Faith, 4-0 in area play and having won all but two sets in area play, will play the Woodland-Gaylesville winner at 3 p.m.

DONOHO: The Falcons beat Weaver 25-18, 25-21, 25-14 in Class 3A, Area 9 play and will play host to the area tournament Oct. 16.

JACKSONVILLE: The Golden Eagles won a five-set thriller against St. Clair County, 25-20, 23-25, 27-25, 25-21, 15-9, to clinch the right to play host to the Class 5A, Area 11 tournament.
Jacksonville will play the Lincoln-St. Clair County winner Oct. 16. The Golden Eagles’ top performers:
— Sydney Soriano: one ace, four kills, 40 assists, 10 digs.
— Layna Wise: four kills, seven assists, one block, two digs.
— Nyla Hoult: one ace, 28 kills, one assist, five blocks, 13 digs.

— Ke’Asiah Williams: two kills, two blocks, 14 digs.

PLEASANT VALLEY: The Raiders fell to Fyffe 18-25, 17-25 and beat DAR 22-25, 25-19, 16-14. Pleasant Valley’s top performers:— Madison Schwabe- 21 kills, two blocks, four aces, 20 digs.
— Ella Parris: eight kills, seven blocks, seven aces, 18 digs.
— Ellie Patterson: eight kills, seven blocks, two aces, eight digs.
— Zalie Curvin: eight digs, one ace.
— Cailey Almaroad: 12 digs, two aces.
— Elise Wheeler: two kills, two aces, seven digs, 40 assists, one block.
— Avalyn Patterson: four blocks, one dig.
— Bella Uesry: one kill, one dig.
— Hanna Henry: six digs, one block.
GLENCOE: Evelyn Nowak reached 1,000 career kills, and the Yellow Jackets won two of three matches over Monday and Tuesday.
Glencoe lost to Ohatchee 23-25, 23-25, 25-12, 22-25 on Monday and swept two matches on Tuesday, beating Sand Rock 25-15, 25-11 and Spring Garden 25-12, 25-17.
