Top seed Alexandria, No. 2 Oxford head into Monday’s Calhoun County volleyball final with something to prove.

WELLBORN — There’s a theme headed into Monday’s Calhoun County volleyball title rematch … something to prove.

Top seed Alexandria and No. 2 Oxford held serve during Saturday’s action, with the Valley Cubs sweeping No. 9 White Plains and No. 4 Ohatchee and Oxford sweeping No. 7 Faith Christian and beating No. 6 Donoho in a four-set semifinal.

Alexandria and Oxford will play in the county final for the third year in a row. They’ll play Monday at 7 p.m. in Pete Mathews Coliseum.
