Pleasant Valley sweeps Ceder Bluff, clinches right to play host to Class 2A, Area 13 tournament.

CEDAR BLUFF — Ellie Patterson recorded a team-high 16 kills, and Pleasant Valley beat Cedar Bluff 26-24, 25-7, 25-13 on Friday to clinch the right to play host to he Class 2A, Area 13 tournament.
The victory came one night after the Raiders lost an area match to Sand Rock.
“We responded and rose to the occasion after last night’s defeat,” Pleasant Valley coach Jennifer Mann said. “Very proud of how they responded and came out to win and secure our number-one seed in area.”

— Ellie Patterson: 16 kills, four blocks, one ace, five digs.

— Elise Wheeler: 31 assists, two blocks, six digs.
— Cailey Almaroad: four aces, 11 digs.
— Bella Uesry: one block.
