–Anniston controls the ball for the game’s first 8:07, overcomes one holding penalty but not the second, turns the ball over on downs at the Centre 6-yard line.
SECOND QUARTER
–Cherokee County still in its first possession, has third and 2 at Anniston 35 to start the quarter. The first quarter lasted 23 minutes with only Anniston getting in a full possession. Anniston comes up with a third-down stop and forces a punt, which is downed at Anniston’s 2 at 10:57. So, we;re 13:03 into this game, and each team has had one possession with no points.
