Pleasant Valley enjoyed what coach Dana Bryant called a “fun game” Tuesday night, getting contributions across the board, in a 3-0 volleyball victory over Pell City. 

The set scores were 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.

Rylee Haynes led the Lady Raiders with 19 kills. Allie Bryant moved the ball around well on her serves, recording 20 assists and five aces. Baylee Willis recorded a team-high five blocks. Maddie Schwabe kept the ball alive with 16 digs. Rebekah Gannaway had 20 digs.

Oxford drops two

The Oxford volleyball team, which climbed back to .500 for the first time this season Monday, dropped a pair of matches Tuesday night to Southside 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-15) and Pelham 2-0 (25-17, 25-14).

Abbie Mitchell led the Lady Jackets (9-11) with 16 kills and 10 digs.

Munford gets area win

Munford scored its first area victory of the season and moved three games over .500 with a 3-1 victory over Handley (25-16, 22-25, 25-11, 25-22).

Ellie Rose Jones led the Lady Lions (14011( with nine kills, six aces and six digs. Anijah Gladden had 12 kills, thee aces and eight digs.
