County Tournament update

The Calhoun County Tournament seeding meeting is Wednesday and due to COVID concerns will be done virtually for the first time.

Donoho and Alexandria are expected to be the leading candidates for No. 1 seed; they play each other Tuesday night at St. Clair County.

Just like last year the tournament’s preliminary rounds will be played in separate venues – Weaver and Alexandria (with one match at Alexandria Middle School) – Oct. 2 with the two finalists meeting Oct. 4 at Jacksonville State.

One finalist will be determined at Weaver and one at Alexandria. The semifinals are scheduled for 2 p.m.
