Lady Raiders get their first victories of the season win sweep of Pinson Valley, Glencoe

JACKSONVILLE – The Pleasant Valley softball team won its first two games of the season Saturday by sweeping Pinson Valley (11-1) and Glencoe (13-3) in a pair of five-inning games.

Rylee Haynes led the hitting attack, going 4-for-4 with three walks, six runs and two RBIs. Ava Boozer had five hits, Lily Henry had four and both had three RBIs.

Leah Patterson was the winning pitcher against Pinson Valley, allowing two hits and striking out seven in five innings. Madison Borders got the win against Glencoe, going the first four innings before giving way to Henry.
