JACKSONVILLE – Allasha Dudley has a chance to enhance her reputation as one of the best outside shooters in Calhoun County tonight when she takes a shot from mid-court for $10,000.

The Anniston sophomore guard earned the right to take the big-money shot by winning the F&M Bank 3-Point Shootout during halftime of each of Friday night’s semifinals games in the Calhoun County Tournament.

She made a record 19 3-pointers in the one-minute shootout. Defending champion Simeon Shadrix of White Plains made 17 and Chandler Dorsett of Pleasant Valley made 14.

“It’s easy to me,” Dudley said. “I’m used to shooting, so it was easy and I like shooting.”

She set the record shortly after making three 3-pointers in eight attempts during the Lady Dawgs’ 52-18 semifinals win over Oxford.

“I shot better in the 3-point contest than I did in the game,” she said.

In case you’re wondering, she has made a half-court shot in practice this season.

Shadrix held the previous 3-point contest record of 16, set last year. Grey Young of White Plains won the inaugural contest in 2017 with 15.
