Munford rolls to championship in the Talladega County Tournament. Alexandria wins three at Plainview, and Oxford stumbles in Drummond Invitational.

TALLADEGA — Munford is the Talladega County volleyball champion.

The Lions (25-5) went 4-0 in the tournament, beating Lincoln 21-25, 26-24, 16-14; Winterboro 25-13, 25-12; Sylacauga 25-20, 25-21 and Lincoln 25-14, 25-17 in the finals.

Munford’s statistics for the tournament:

— Reese Brewer: 72 assists, three aces, eight kills, four digs.
— Mackinlee Harris: five aces, nine kills, one dig.
— Andreya Curry: 35 kills, two digs, three blocks.
— Mylie Stephens: 49 kills, eight aces, 14 blocks, one assist.
— Saryn Goodson: six aces, four digs.
— Ashtyn Bishop: five aces, one assist, 31 digs.
— Brooklyn Haywood: two kills, two digs.
— Brooklyn Pressley: four aces, eight digs.
— Samaree Thomas: nine kills, three blocks.
— Faith Jacobs: 11 kills, 10 blocks, one dig.

Elsewhere 

ALEXANDRIA: The Valley Cubs beat Boaz 25-20, 16-25, 15-13; Fyffe 25-18, 19-25, 15-7; and Plainview 25-19, 25-23 in Saturday’s Plainview quad. Alexandria’s statistics for the night:

— Lanaijia Redwine: eight kills, five blocks, one assist. 
— Kate Wheeler: 15 kills, one block.
— Cali Hess: 61 assists, 13 digs, four aces, six kills.
— Landry Patterson: 33 digs, four assists, six aces.
— Caylin Adams: 20 kills, one assist, three blocks. 
— Brenlee Curvin: eight digs, three aces.

OXFORD: Playing in the Drummond Invitational Tournament, Oxford fell to Jasper 15-25, 25-22, 7-15; Auburn 23-25, 24-26; Hewitt-Trussville 17-25, 13-25; and Spanish Fort 16-25, 16-25. Oxford’s statistics:

— Ava Thomas: 35 kills, 12 digs, five blocks, two aces.
— Macy Thomas: 62 assists, eight digs, four aces, one block, one kill.
— Emerald Cole: 15 kills, five blocks.
— Adriana Bonilla: 16 digs, two aces. 
— Taleah Powell: nine kills, one block.
— Lana Horn: eight digs, one kill.
