Weaver wins twice

WEAVER — The Weaver wrestling team followed its victory in the Gene Taylor Memorial Classic by sweeping its two dual matches Tuesday night.
The Bearcats defeated Pell City 63-18 and Calera 64-18.
Nick Souder (106), Christian Pettus (126), Kyle Clapper (138), Jacob Howard (145), Stefan Kirby (152), Tyler Johnson (170), Collin Allison (182), Chase Rodgers (195), and Caleb Allison (285) all picked up two wins in the tri-match.
The Bearcats improved to 9-2 in duals this season and wrestle in a quad match at Oxford Thursday against the Yellow Jackets, McAdory, and Lincoln.
