Pine Hill Invitational pairings

A field of 84 players will hit the course Saturday for the 2014 Pine Hill Country Club Invitational, making it one of the largest invitationals in the county this season.

Nearly half of the field – 39 players, to be exact – will be vying for points on the Calhoun County Golf Tour.

Ty Cole carries a 72.5-point lead over Grant Hockman going into the final event before the County Championship, but only a 7.5-point edge if you take their current top four finishes.

In the County Tour points system, a player’s top five finishes count toward the standings — and rarely is their County Championship finish (valued at 1.5 times the normal points) discounted. The top 16 finishers in the points standings qualify for the County Match Play Championship.
