Oxford wins one, loses one , and Alexandria drops two at Juanita Boddie Tournament.

HOOVER — Playing in the Juanita Boddie Tournament on Friday, Oxford fell to Thompson 14-25, 16-25 and beat Northside Methodist 25-19, 25-8.
Oxford’s top performers:
— Ava Thomas: 13 kills, three blocks.
— Lana Horn: four digs.
— Adriana Bonilla: nine digs.
— Macy Thomas: 19 assists, four digs.
— Emerald Cole: seven kills.
ALEXANDRIA: Also playing in the Juanita Boddie Tournament, the Valley Cubs fell to Bob Jones 25-11, 13-25, 15-17 and Madison Ridgeland Academy 20-25, 20-25.
Alexandria’s top performers:
— Lanajia Redwine: three kill.
— Kate Wheeler: three kills.
— Cali Hess: two kill, 28 assists, 10 digs, two aces.
— Landry Patterson: one kill, 12 digs, eight aces.
