ANNISTON — Collegiate first-timers Frank Kipruto and Faith Nyathi came away victorious in Saturday’s 45th Publix Woodstock 5K.

Kipruto, 23, who runs for the University of Tennessee Southern, was the overall winner in 14 minutes and 51 seconds, 46 seconds off of the course-record pace of 14:05.

Nyathi, 26, who runs for Middle Tennessee State University, finished atop the female field in 17:08, 1:02 off of the course record of 16:06.
