Piedmont facts

Things to know about Piedmont football heading into the 2026 season:

— Jonathan Miller enters his fourth season as Piedmont’s head football coach and 15th season overall as a head coach. He’s 31-9 at Piedmont and 131-41 overall, including 11 seasons at Saks. He’s 21-13 in the playoffs, including two semifinal runs at Piedmont and three semifinal runs at Saks.

— AHSAA realignment separated public and private schools for championship play and eliminated Class 7A, causing several schools to move down in classification. Piedmont moved down to 2A and aligns with Gaston, Ohatchee, Pleasant Valley, Saks, Vincent, Wellborn and West End-Walnut Grove.

— Key graduation losses from 2025 include the following All-Calhoun County players: WR/KR Rollie Pinto, RB Nick Mixson, OL Kaden Doyle, DB Ben Dempsey,  .
