Class 4A-6A All-Calhoun County softball team

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Charlee Parris, Alexandria.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Wendy McKibbin, Oxford.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Alanah Fitch, Ohatchee.

Ohatchee’s Alanah Fitch brings the spirit during Calhoun County Tournament play at Calhoun County Sports Complex in April. COACH OF THE YEAR: David Bryant, Pleasant Valley.

Now-retired Pleasant Valley softball coach David Bryant signals during the Class 2A, Area 13 tournament final on Jacksonville State University’s Jana McGinnis Field in May. He led a young Raiders team to a strong second half of the season, area title and berth in the East Regional in his final season at Pleasant Valley and is East Alabama Sports Today’s choice as Calhoun County Class 1A-3A coach of the year.
