JACKSONVILLE — Alexandria influence can be found all over the Calhoun County high school coaching scene, and add another former Valley Cub to the list.

The Calhoun County Board of Education voted Thursday to hire Kahlil Fracis as Saks’ head boys basketball coach. He’ll also serve on newly hired football coach Michal Easley’s staff as director of football operations.

Francis, 24, follows Easley from Munford after serving as an assistant in basketball and football there.

Francis replaces Shannon Felder, who was not retained after one year as head football coach and boys’ basketball coach.
