Bats power Randolph County to winners-bracket final. Ohatchee survives the day. Woodland claims state-tourney berth.

ALBERTVILLE — Going around the horn covering area teams in the East and Central Regional softball tournaments.
RANDOLPH COUNTY: The Tigers slugged their way to Thursday’s Class 3A winners’ bracket final, beating Locust Fork 11-1 and Ohatchee 12-8 on Wednesday.
Randolph County (23-7) will play the Hanceville-Glencoe winner Thursday at 12:15 p.m.
Hannah Parmer swung the hottest bat Wednesday, going 6-for-8 with two home runs, a triple, two doubles, 11 RBIs and five runs. She went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, five RBIs and four runs against Locust Fork then went 3-for-4 with a homer, two doubles, six RBIs and a run against Ohatchee.
The Tigers got two hits and an RBI apiece from Gracie Huckeba, Lizzie Milam and Abi Waters against Locust Fork. Huckeba had a double and two runs.
Lydia Parmer added a single, a run and an RBI.
Waters got the win, holding Locust Fork to six hits with four strikeouts in five innings.
Lydia Parmer had a single and two RBIs against Ohatchee, and Bryer Thompson had a single, two runs and an RBI. Khloe Yates went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Kyndahl Huckeba went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Milam went 2-for-4 with two runs, Kinsley Weathers 2-for-4 with a run and Waters 2-for-4 with a double.
OHATCHEE: The Indians (31-12) opened with a 5-2 victory over Collinsville then lost a 12-8 slugfest to Randolph County.
Ohatchee will play the Geraldine-Weaver winner in a Class 3A elimination game Thursday at 10:45 a.m.
Alanah Fitch had a triple and three RBIs against Collinsville. Madison Mize added a single and an RBI, and Annie Cox went 2-for-2 with a run.
Cox pitched four innings, allowing four hits, two walks and one earned run with four strikeouts. Makayla Brackett worked three innings, allowing one hit with two strikeouts.
Gracie Reed had a triple and four RBIs against Randolph County. Blaze Steward went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Fitch went 1-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Cox went 2-for-5 with two runs.
GLENCOE: The Yellow Jackets opened play in the Class 3A bracket with a 3-2 victory over Geraldine and lost to Hanceville 16-2 in the winners’ bracket.
Glencoe will play Collinsville on Thursday at 10:45 a.m.
Glencoe scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to take the lead against Geraldine. Evelyn Nowak hit an RBI double, the Yellow Jackets’ lone hit, and Caitlin Romano’s sacrifice fly plated the go-ahead run.
Kynsley Freeman held Geraldine to five hits with 10 strikeouts.
Nowak had a single and RBI against Hanceville, and Katy Talbot had a double and a run.
WEAVER: The Bearcats fell to Hanceville 10-0 and Geraldine 10-3 in a Class 3A elimination-bracket game to finish the season 15-19.
Maddie Stanford and Ava Sargent each had a single to account for Weaver’s two hits against Hanceville.
Ariel Sargent had a double and an RBI against Geraldine, and Heaven Bishop had a single, an RBI and a run. Caitlyn Edmondson singled and scored a run.
PLEASANT VALLEY: The Raiders (24-25) opened with a 14-0 rout of Decatur Heritage and lost to West End-Walnut Grove 5-2 in a Class 2A winners’ bracket game.
Pleasant Valley will play Pisgah on Thursday at 9 a.m.
Alexa Cranmer went 3-for-3 with four runs and an RBI against Decatur Heritage. Lilly Robinson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Cailey Almaroad went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run, and Janette Turner went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Charlee Grogan went 1-for-1 with three runs and an RBI, and Ellie Patterson went 1-for-1 with two runs and an RBI.
Ellie-Kate Roper and Abigail Evans allowed a combined four hits with a combined three strikeouts in five innings.
Robinson went 2-for-4 with two RBIs against West End. Grogan went 2-for-4, and Almaroad went 2-for-3.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN: The Thunder opened Wednesday’s action by eliminating Ragland 12-3 and lost to Appalachian 6-2 to finish 19-5 on the season.
Addy Lee went 4-for-5 with two triples, a double, four RBIs and two runs against Ragland. Cali Sexton went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.
Mollie Mullinax went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI, and Sophie Williams went 2-for-4 with a triple with three runs and an RBI.
Audrina Williams had a double and an RBI.
Mullinax went 2-for-3 with a run against Appalachian, and Symone Estell had a double and an RBI.
JCA’s went 2-2 at regional, and the two wins marked a program best.
LINCOLN: The Golden Bears finished 23-20-1 after falling to Moody 4-1 and Corner 16-5 in the Class 5A bracket.
Emery-Kate Hendrix went 2-for-3 with an RBI against Moody, and Kalia Fowles had a single and a run. Aubrey Machen went 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs against Corner, and Cameron Pruitt hit a solo home run.
Central Regional
RANBURNE: The Bulldogs (22-16) opened play in the 2A bracket with a 20-4 rout of Highland Home and beat Reeltown 7-2 in the winners bracket.
Ranburne will play Southeastern in Thursday’s 9 a.m. winners’ bracket final.
Rylie Duke went 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and three runs, and Addison Gibbs went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Dakota Martin went 1-for-2 with a triple, two RBIs and a run, and Carter Martin went 1-for-1 with a double and two RBIs.
Rylann Graham went 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI, and Shaylie Reaves went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. K.K. Rollins doubled and scored three runs.
Reaves and Karoline Meadows combined to allow one hit in three innings of work.
Rollins went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, and Dakota Martin went 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI. Kamryn Jenkins had a double and two RBIs.
Gibbs pitched a complete game, allowing 11 hits but one earned run and one walk with three strikeouts.
WOODLAND: The Bobcats (22-11-1) eliminated University Charter 11-2, Billingsley 9-0 and Fayetteville 5-0 to claim the region’s second state qualifying spot.
Woodland will open play at Oxford’s Choccolocco Park against North Regional 1A top qualifier Hackleburg on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m.
Macie McDaniel went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run against University Charter, and Lilly Kirby went 4-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Allie Puckett went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Alyssa Taylor went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs.
Railey Williams pitched a complete game, allowing six hits with 10 strikeouts.
Kinsley McDaniel went 4-for-4 with a run and an RBI against Billingsley, and Macie McDaniel went 3-for-3 with a double with two RBIs.
Skylar Vann went 2-for-3 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs. Puckett went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Taylor went 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Emma Ellsberry had a double and scored three runs.
Williams went the distance against Fayetteville, allowing seven hits, one walk and no runs with four strikeouts.
Taylor went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run, and Lucy Phillips went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Macie McDaniel went 2-for-2 with a run.
