Munford, Alexandria, Ohatchee, Weaver and Wellborn among winners in softball. Ohatchee, Faith Christian, Woodland and Hokes Bluff come out on top in baseball.

Going around the horn with Tuesday’s area high school baseball and softball action and over the pitch in soccer:
Softball
MUNFORD 8, WHITE PLAINS 6: Brooklyn Pressley went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Munford improved to 13-3. She also got the win, allowing three hits, two walks and two earned runs with four strikeouts over the final four innings.
Chloe Pickette went 1-for-3 with a double with a double, two RBIs and a run. Kastin Lathem had a single and two RBIs, and Ashtyn Bishop went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run.
Saryn Goodson went 2-for-3 with two runs and Jena Gaither 2-for-3 with a run.
White Plains’ Sara Kate Adams went 3-for-4, and Rylee Smith hit a triple. Carli Fritts had two RBIs, and Jaylie Holt had an RBI.
The Wildcats are 13-4.
ALEXANDRIA 4, CHEROKEE COUNTY 1: Reece Carr pitched a complete game, spreading out seven hits with one walk, one earned run and six strikeouts.
Cali Hess went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Katelynn Robertson went 1-for-2 with an RBI. Jacee Brooks had a triple, and Boo Boo Bright hit a double. Brooks scored a run.
Cherokee County’s Isabella Patterson hit a double and had an RBI, and Sydni Frost went 2-for-3.
OHATCHEE 12, PIEDMONT 6: Alanah Fitch went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs, and Ohatchee upped to 8-4.
Madison Mize went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run, and Reese Steward went 5-for-5 with a run and an RBI.
Annie Cox and Asia Keith each had a double, a run and an RBI.
Piedmont’s Anna Hase went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI. Keagan Rogers had three RBIs, and Ellie Tolbert had a double and an RBI.
WEAVER 16, ANNISTON 9: Ariel Sargent went 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI, and Weaver improved to 5-9.
Sarah Gokey had a double, two RBIs and two runs, and Ashlyn Coleman had a single, two RBIs and a run.
Anniston’s Alicia Berry went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Lyric Williams doubled and scored a run.
WELLBORN 28, SAKS 4: Cassidy Gray went 4-for-6 with a home run, a double, five RBIs and four runs, and the Panthers got their second win of the season.
Ansley Greene went 4-for-5 with a double, five RBIs and four runs, and Raelyn Webb went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.
Bayli Sullivan went 1-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs, and Braelyn Bean went 1-for-5 with five runs and two RBIs. Z Foster and A Bowman had two RBIs apiece.
Saks’ Ayshia Billingsley had a single and two RBIs. Aydan Twyman and ryleigh Kelly each had a single and an RBI.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 11, GAYLESVILLE 1: Sophie Williams pitched a three-hitter, allowing no earned runs and eight strikeouts. She also had a single, a run and an RBI.
Audrina Williams went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs, and Mollie Mullinax went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Carlie Chesson had a single and an RBI, and Callie Sexton singled and scored two runs.
RANDOLPH COUNTY 13, B.B. COMER 1: Lizzie Milam pitched a one-hitter with three strikeouts and went 1-for-2 with three RBIs and a run.
Khloe Yates went 1-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and a run. Gracie Huckeba and Bryer Thompson each had a single, two runs and an RBI. Emmy Maffeo and Kyndahl Huckeba each had a single, a run and an RBI.
Baseball
OHATCHEE 6, WELLBORN 2: Mikey Caputo had a single and two RBIs, and Ohatchee got a single and RBI apiece from Xavier Luna and Josh Hulbert.
Sawyer Beegle pitched a complete game, spreading out seven hits and one walk with two earned runs and five strikeouts.
Wellborn’s Dalton Dillard went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, and Sawyer Thomas went 2-for-3 with a solo home run.
FAITH CHRISTIAN 9, SAKS 8: Luke Robertson gave Faith the go-ahead run with a grounder in the top of the fifth. He finished 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Paul Kaiser had a double, a run and an RBI. Tanner Smith and Asher Ray each had a single, a run and an RBI, and Sam Ricard went 1-for-1 with three runs.
Saks’ Aiden Whitten went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run, and Dajon Davis went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
WOODLAND 9, RANDOLPH COUNTY 2: Woodland’s Connor Sheppard went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and two runs. He also pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts. He allowed two hits, no earned runs and three walks.
Brodie Carter went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Eli Lewis had a single, a run and an RBI, and Paxton Gowens had a single and an RBI.
Randolph County got a single and an RBI apiece from Saxton Hester and Bryant Lee.
HOKES BLUFF 7, ETOWAH 6: Javin Norman’s grounder scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Hokes Bluff’s Micah Brasher homered while going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Preston Griffith hit a double with two RBIs and scored a run.
Bray Bearden went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Carson Peppers went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Brasher got the win, allowing two hits, four walks and one earned run with eight strikeouts in six innings.
Soccer
WEAVER BOYS 8, SAKS 7: Gianluca Torres scored five goals, and Weaver on in extra time.
Uli Lazcano scored two goals, including the game-winning goal with 29 seconds left in overtime. Torres had the assist on the game-winning goal.
Carsyn Pippen scored Weaver’s other goal, and goalie Joe Vines had 19 saves.
JACKSONVILLE GIRLS 4, LINCOLN 1: Emerson Weaver led the charge with two goals and two assists, and Jacksonville improved to 6-0.
Lexi Page added two goals and one assist, and Joeh Kim contributed an assist. Neveah Nicholson recorded three saves, including a penalty shot stop.
LINCOLN BOYS 5, JACKSONVILLE 1: Cameron Turner scored Jacksonville’s goal on a J.C. Hollingsworth assist, and Jackson Patterson recorded 15 saves.
WHITE PLAINS GIRLS 5, TALLADEGA 1: Layla Garcia scored four goals to reach 22 for the season, and White Plains upped to 2-0 in area play.
Nathaly Rosas added a goal and an assist, and the Wildcats got an assist apiece from Brooksly Thielker, Selma Gomez and Kaylee Roberts.
