Anniston boys rebound to top Jacksonville. Piedmont wins on OT. Oxford, Glencoe, Alexandria, Weaver, Cleburne County, Faith Christian victorious. Jacksonville, Alexandria, Spring Garden, Ranburne girls win.

ANNISTON — Kyree Lewis scored a game-high 25 points, and Anniston’s boys rebounded from a season-opening loss to Munford to beat Jacksonville 53-49 on Friday.
Faheem Dothard added 11 points, and Kaden Brown scored eight.
Jacksonville got 24 points from Kamouri Harmon to go with five rebounds. Ben Pridgen added 11 points and seven rebounds, and Malik Coleman had 10 rebounds to go with five points.
PIEDMONT 72, CHEROKEE COUNTY 70 (3OT): Rollie Pinto’s 26 points included three 3-pointers, and Piedmont won in overtime.
Pinto scored 10 of Piedmont’s 23 points in overtime, including one 3-pointer.
Ben Dempsey added 13 points, Ethan Tidwell 12 and Taylon Swain 10.
Piedmont’s Mason Morrow tied the game at 61-61 with a 3-pointer at 1:45 of the second overtime, and Swain hit two free throws with 30 seconds left to make it 63-63.
Pinto got a quick five-point start to the third overtime..
Cherokee County’s Tatum Perry poured in 35 points, with three 3-pointers. Nolan Neyman added 11 points, and Jayquan Diamond chilled in nine.
OXFORD 71, HALE COUNTY 52: Playing in the Larry & Conne Davidson Classic at Oxford, the Yellow Jackets got 20 points from Jaylen Alexander.
Chris Latson’s 14 points included two 3-pointers, and Jay’lin Taylor hit three 3-pointers on the way to 12 points.
Caleb Wilson and Marcus Perry Jr. added 11 points apiece.
Hale County, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, got 17 points with three 3-pointers from Zamarion Johnson. Omarr Lewis added 14 points.
GLENCOE 59, WESTBROOK CHRISTIAN 49: Grant Smith hit five of Glencoe’s 12 3-pointers on the way to 28 points, and Glencoe picked up a victory in area play.
Davis Honeycutt’s five three-pointers accounted for his 15 points.
Titus Jones led Westbrook with 16 points, including two 3-pointers. Brady Carden added 13 points.
ALEXANERIA 81, SAKS 34: Alexandria’s Cole Wheeler hit eight 3-pointers on the way to 31 points to lead all scorers.
M.J. Morris hit two threes on the way to 16 points, and Ryan Lewis added eight points.
Saks got seven points apiece from Dakauri Clark and Makhal Smith.
Spring Garden’s Zane Edwards hit three 3-pointers while scoring 21 points, and Brody Bostic’s 13 points came with two 3-pointers.
WEAVER 60, OHATCHEE 46: D.J. Marbury paced Weaver with 20 points and nine rebounds, and J.C. Reeves’ 13 points included three 3-pointers.
Taylor Green added 10 points. Junior Allen and Phoxton Benjamin scored eight apiece.
On a night when Ohatchee celebrated his reaching 1,000 career points earlier this season, Ohatchee’s Alston Carroll hit four 3-pointers on the way to 18 points. Coleman Fowler added 13.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 57, RANBURNE 26: Cleburne County’s Lyric Ware scored a game-high 19 points. Caleb Fiields added 11 points, and Cade Shubert chipped in seven.
Seth McAdams paced Ranburne with 15 points.
FAITH CHRISTIAN 60, SPRING GARDEN 49: Faith Christian’s Colin Anderson hit two 3-pointers on the way to 24 points.
Parker Robertson and Dylan Rogers added 12 points apiece. Rogers hit two 3-pointers.
BANKS 56, HOPE CHRISTIAN 44: Kailub Sparks led Hope with 16 points, seven steals and three assists.
Tavin Jackson added eight points, five rebounds and two assists. Carson Campbell turned in eight points, five rebounds and three steals.
Girls
JACKSONVILLE 51, ANNISTON 31: Jacksonville’s Jayci Taylor and Neveah Nicholson scored
17 points apiece. Taylor added seven rebounds and three assists. Nicholson, who hit three 3-pointers, also contributed four steals, three rebounds and two assists..
Ontarriah Braxton added nine points, and Emerson Weaver had five steals.
Saniyah Spinks led Anniston with 11 points, and Lauren Brewster added 10.
ALEXANDRIA 71, SAKS 34: Alexandria’s Charlee Parris scored a team-high 21 points, and Cali Hess added 17.
The Valley Cubs also got 11 points from Ella Harper and nine apiece from Kate Wheeler and LaNajia Redwine.
Saks’’ Sania Angel scored a game-high 25 points, and Raven English added nine.
SPRING GARDEN 61, FAITH CHRISTIAN 18: Maya Jennings led Spring Garden with 17 points, hitting three of six 3-point shots. She also had five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Addie Word added 12 points, five rebounds, three steals and three assists, and Kylie Bates had 11 points, eight assists and five steals.
RANBURNE 37, CLEBURNE COUNTY 20: Maranda Ralston hit two 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 15 points, and Kallie Burson hit three treys on the way to 13 points.
Amilya Williams led Cleburne County with six points.
CHEROKEE COUNTY 60, PIEDMONT 32: Cherokee County’s Ellisan Givens scored 16 points. Nevaeh Gaidurgis added 11 and Brooklyn Bruce added 11 apiece.
Amiyah Thomas led Piedmont with 12 points.
