PLEASANT VALLEY — Fresh off of being voted the No. 2 seed in the coming Calhoun County Tournament, Oxford beat Pleasant Valley 25-12, 25-8, 21-25, 32-30 Thursday.
County coaches voted Pleasant Valley the No. 3 seed for the county tournament, which starts Oct. 4.
Oxford’s top performers:
— Tia Nichols: four kills, three digs.
— Payton Brooks: 13 digs, three aces, one kill, 37 assists.
— Preslee Reeves: 10 digs.
— Adriana Bonilla: 13 digs.
— Charleigh Trotter: five digs, three aces.
— Taleah Powell: one kill, one block.
— Emerald Cole: nine kills, one block.
— Macee Parten: three digs, one kill.
— Ava Thomas: six digs, two aces, 30 kills.
— Lana Horn: one kill.
Pleasant Valley’s Ella Parris surpassed 1,000 career digs. The Raiders’ top performers:
— Madison Schwabe: eight kills, two blocks, three aces, 15 digs.
— Parris: eight kills, two blocks, two aces, five digs.
— Cailey Almaroad: one kill, one ace, 10 aces.
— Ellie Patterson: eight kills, four blocks, one ace, five digs.
— Zalie Curvin: one ace, 15 digs.
— Elise Wheeler: four kills, one block, 12 digs, 24 assists.
