JACKSONVILLE — Alexandria swept a trimatch Tuesday, beating Cherokee County 25-20, 25-8 and Jacksonville 25-11, 25-17.
The Valley Cubs improved to 45-6 on the year. Top performers for Alexandria:

JACKSONVILLE: The Golden Eagles won the other match, beating Cherokee County 20-25, 25-20, 15-13. Top performers for Jacksonville.

—Camryn Stone: 12 kills, four blocks.
—Mya Swain: 13 kills, nine blocks.

DONOHO: Still playing without injured hitter Estella Connell (ankle), the Falcons lost to Geraldine 23-25, 17-25 and Fort Payne 14-25, 17-25 in a trimatch at Geraldine. Connell is expected to return by the area tournament, which starts Oct. 17.
