OKLAHOMA CITY — Michelle Moultrie’s walk-off, solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning completed the Oklahoma City Spark’s comeback to beat Oxford’s Smash It Sports Vipers 4-3 in Saturday’s Women’s Professional Fastpitch softball action.

The Vipers are 0-2 after their first WPF regular-season series of 2023. They were trailing Thursday’s scheduled opener 4-1 in the second inning, when weather forced postponement, and lost 2-1 on Friday.

The Vipers built a 3-0 lead Saturday. Two runs came in the third inning, with Karly Heath scoring when Raina O’Neal reached on an error and Suzy Brookshire’s solo home run.

Heath doubled to reach base.

O’Neal’s RBI single in the first inning put the Vipers up 1-0.

O’Neal and Tatyana Forbes had two hits apiece for the Vipers.

The Vipers travel to open a three-game series against the Texas Smoke on Monday. Their home opener is Friday against Texas at 7 p.m.
