–FINAL: Armoni Perry’s grand slam puts an exclamation point in Piedmont’s 13-0 victory over Wellborn in the winners’ bracket final. Piedmont clinches an East Regional berth, will play Weaver-Wellborn winner in the finals next.

–T1: Wellborn scores two, leads Weaver 2-0.
–B1: Weaver pushes one across, trails 2-1.
–B2: Weaver scores four to lead 5-2.
–B3: Weaver leads 8-2.
–T4: Wellborn scores two runs to trim Weaver’s lead to 8-4.
–FINAL: WEAVER ELIMINATES WELLORN 8-4, clinches East Regional berth, Weaver’s first regional berth since 2017, and will play Piedmont in the area finals.

–B1: Savannah Smith RBI triple puts Piedmont up 1-0 on Weaver; Cacey Brothers sac fly makes it 2-0.
–B2: Jenna Calvert two-run triple puts Piedmont up 4-0; error on Brothers’ grounder scores another run … 5-0; double steal gets a run home … 6-0.
–B3: Sarah Goss RBI single and RBI double from Calvert make it 8-0.
–B4: Error on an Armoni Perry fly, followed by Cayla Brothers’ two-run homer, put Piedmont up 11-0.
–FINAL: Savannah Smith finishes off Piedmont’s second no-hitter of the tournament, and Piedmont wins area title, 11-0.

–B3: Woodland gets a run, trims PV lead to 6-2.
–T4: Gannaway hits a three-run bomb … 9-2.
–Thru 5: Still 9-2, PV.
–B6: Woodland pushes two across, trails 9-4.
–T7: PV gets an error-aided run, 10-4, Raiders.
–Just getting back to this after postgame interviews from my game and driving back home. PV WINS 15-13 to clinch area title. Raiders and Woodland advance to next week’s East Regional.
