Bearcats run through home quad match with Pleasant Valley, White Plains, New Hope; Saks goes 1-2 in its match

WEAVER — With six of its wrestlers completing a perfect night, the Weaver wrestling team swept its four-team home match Tuesday night.
The Bearcats beat Pleasant Valley (72-12), New Hope (60-24) and White Plains (52-30). Dalton Fink, Briley Carter, J.D. Johannson, Anthony Usry, Devin Anderson and Cam Thornton all went 3-0.
Quinn Sani, Kaden Gaines, Gianluca Torres, Jacob Haser, Hunter Hise and Brandon Jolliff all went 2-1 for the Bearcats.
Meanwhile, Saks also hit the mat Tuesday and went 1-2, beating Susan Moore (48-30), but losing to Southside (68-12) and McAdory (72-12). Most of the Wildcats’ football-playing wrestlers will join the team Saturday.
