Here are scores and highlights of Thursday’s high school baseball and softball games in and around Calhoun County

THURSDAY’S BASEBALL SCORES

Cherokee County 5, Glencoe 4:
Brian Green won it with a two-run, double on an 0-2 pitch in the bottom of the seventh.

Jacksonville 4, Alexandria 3: Grant Patterson drew a bases-loaded walk with none out in the bottom of the seventh to plate the winning run. Patterson also pitched two innings of no-hit relief for the win.

The Golden Eagles loaded the bases on singles by Dreylan Fomby and Coleman Oliver and a walk to Tito Canales. Fomby had two hits in the game.

Ohatchee 12, Saks 7: Indians score 5 in top of the eighth; Jake Roberts 3-for-4, 2 RBIs, 4 IP of three-hit shutout relief; Saks’ Rickey Garrett 4-for-5 

Piedmont 9, Cleburne County 1: Max Hanson 3-for-3, 3 RBIs; Noah Reedy complete-game two-hitter.

Pleasant Valley 6, White Plains 3:
Dalton McElroy, Caleb Shew three hits apiece; Duke Barnett two hits for White Plains.

Wellborn 10, Anniston 0: Jett Smith had 3 hits, Brayden Dempsey had 4 RBIs and Smith and Brennan Talley combined on a two-hit shutout. Smith struck out nine in three innings.

Horseshoe Bend 10, Faith Christian 0: Lions handed first loss of the season after a record 4-0 start.

THURSDAY’S SOFTBALL SCORES

Alexandria 10, Oxford 4:
Ashley Phillips had 4 hits, including a homer and double, and 3 RBIs for Alexandria; Ellie Derrick had two doubles and 2 RBIs for Oxford. Rylee Gattis struck out 12 for the Lady Cubs.

Jacksonville Christian 14, Winterboro 1
