Jordan Turner poured in 33 points and Matt Trammell (13) and C.J. Lawler (12) both scored in double figures as the Purple Devils crushed the visiting Conquerors. Ragland scored 28 points in the second and 32 in the third. Deontae Ford had 27 points for the Conquerors.

Coosa Christian won the girls game to clinch their area championship. Bella Millirons had 23 and Chloe Davidson 17 for the winners.

RANBURNE 63, RANDOLPH COUNTY 62: Colby Hanson scored 24 points to lead the Bulldogs in their come-from-behind victory. Hanson scored 20 in the first half as Ranburne rallied from a 19-13 first-quarter deficit. Randolph County’s Zack Caldwell led all scorers with 27 points.

The Bulldogs scored with 15 seconds left to go up by four, then Randolph County banked in a 3 in the closing seconds for the final margin.

Macey Roper scored 21 points and Rylee Haynes had 17 as the Lady Raiders bounced back from their loss in the County Tournament to ring up Weaver in a rescheduled area game. Haynes scored nine of her points in the first quarter as PV opened a 22-15 lead. Roper scored 16 of her points in the second half.

Haley Homesley led Weaver with 21 points. D.J. Gibbs had 16.
