Saks, White Plains and Pleasant Valley all tuned up for their Calhoun County Tournament assignments with victories Thursday night.
Saks defeated Childersburg 3-0, White Plains swept Wellborn (2-0) and West End (2-0), and Pleasant Valley swept Piedmont (3-0) and Weaver (3-0).
PV defeated Piedmont 25-20, 25-14, 32-30 and Weaver 25-12, 25-12, 25-15. Leah Patterson had 24 kills in the two matches, while Lily Henry had 15 and Maddie Schwabe 10. Rylee Haynes dealt 58 assists and Allie Bryant had 51 digs and nine aces.
White Plains defeated Wellborn 25-11, 25-21, and West End 25-21, 25-8.
The Lady Wildcats swept their region match behind 14 kills by Tamryn Pierce and 10 kills by Jade Daniel. Stormy Nolen had 30 assists.
