Here are the results of high school volleyball matches reported to East Alabama Sports Today Saturday

Supreme Courts

GUNTERSVILLE – Donoho and Alexandria faced some stiff competition in the tournament at the Superme Courts.

Donoho went 1-3, losing to Spain Park (25-15, 25-13); Spanish Fort (25-16, 25-13) and beating Brewer (25-23, 18-25, 15-11) in pool play and then falling to Gordon Lee (Ga.) (25-22, 25-20).

“We played tough against big teams,” Donoho coach Jamie Clendenin said. “There were some really good rallies and the players seemed to have gotten better.”

Alexandria went 2-2. The Lady Cubs beat Gordon Lee (Ga.) and Geraldine, and lost to McGill-Toolen and Spanish Fort.

Lincoln Tournament

LINCOLN – Oxford went 1-2 in the Lincoln Tournament, defeating St. Clair County (25-15, 25-15) and falling to Lincoln (25-23, 13-25, 15-13) and Ohatchee (25-22, 25-23).

Lakijah Brown led the Lady Jackets with 26 kills and five digs. Adrionna Foster had 23 assists, 10 digs and four aces. Lisa Montgomery recorded three kills, three aces and five blocks. Abbie Mitchell had six kills, Aametria Wilson had 11 digs and Cadie Burn had five digs and 24 assists.

The Lady Jackets are 6-6 and host Pell City and Alexandria Monday for their Senior Night.

Ohatchee got off to a 3-0 start in the tournament, then left as the other pool played and returned several hours later and lost to Dora in three sets. The Lady Indians swept Lincoln, St. Clair County and Oxford.

Patterson powers PV

Leah Patterson scored 20 kills, 18 digs and two blocks to lead a Pleasant Valley comeback that produced a 3-1 victory over Spring Garden.

The Lady Raiders (5-1) dropped the first set 25-18, then roared back 25-23, 25-23, 26-21. 

Allie Bryant had 31 digs. Rylee Haynes had 31 assists.
