JACKSONVILLE – It was Senior Night for the Pleasant Valley volleyball team Thursday night and the seniors played a big role in the Lady Raiders’ 3-0 (25-9, 25-7, 25-13) sweep of Faith Christian.

Leah Patterson led the way with 14 kills, two aces and 10 digs. Mattie Glass recorded four kills and five digs, while Madison Borders had three kills.

Meanwhile, Lily Henry had four kills, four aces and nine digs; Rylee Haynes had three aces, seven digs and 14 assists; Allie Bryant had 14 digs and Gracie Davis had four kills.

Ohatchee tops Saks

OHATCHEE – Jorda Crook, the only non-senior in the starting lineup, did her part to ensure Ohatchee’s six seniors had a victorious Senior Night, knocking down 15 kills and four blocks in a 3-1 victory over Saks.

Senior Gracee Haynes had 12 kills and six digs. Tori Vice had seven digs and Abby Hester had 18 assists.

Oxford splits

SPRINGVILLE – Lakijah Brown had 24 kills and 12 digs, while Lisa Montgomery posted six kills, five digs and nine blocks as Oxford split a tri-match, beating Springville in an intense four-set match 23-25, 25-21, 29-27, 25-22 and falling to Mortimer Jordan 25-13, 26-24.

Cadie Burn had 27 assists, five aces and six digs. Arianna Curry had eight digs and three aces. Adrionna Foster had nine digs and 15 assists. Ashely Paulson had 10 digs and Aametria Wilson seven.
