Dixie Softball Series

The field may not be as large as expected when the bid was awarded, but there will be a Dixie Softball World Series at Choccolocco Park. Each of the seven brackets could have been as large as 12 teams, but only 50 teams from 10 states (no Arkansas) will be participating. Florida has 19 teams from eight communities. Louisiana Ward 10 has five teams entered. The teams are scheduled to arrive in Oxford Friday. Here are Saturday’s opening round matchups:
