Here is the Class 3A Area 11 all-area boys basketball team as selected by the coaches; Piedmont’s Odam MVP
Smooth Piedmont freshman Alex Odam has been named most valuable player of Class 3A Area 11 and tops the all-area boys team as voted by the coaches.
Odam joined the 1,000-point club earlier this season. He averaged 22.5 points a game, 3.6 rebounds, shot 48.5 percent from the floor (39.3 from 3-point range), 83 percent from the free throw line, and had 109 assists and 83 steals.
Here is the full all-area team:
Piedmont: Alex Odam (MVP), Silas Thompson (18.1 ppg, 7.4 rpg), Trey McFarland and Jakari Foster.
Saks: Zay Elston, Tyler Smith, Zaejuan Johnson.
Pleasant Valley: Josh Ballew, Garrett Cranmer.
Weaver: Kyle Knight, Armane Burton.
Wellborn: KV Welsey.
