Collinsville and Handley made strong runs into the finals of Champions Thanksgiving Classic, and in the end Collinsville was the strongest of them all.
 
The Lady Panthers rolled to a 67-38 victory in the championship game Wednesday night. Brittany Rivera was MVP.
 
Spring Garden routed Alexandria in the consolation game, 56-19. Ace Austin led all scorers with 14 points and Neely Welsh had 10. Alexandria stayed with the Lady Panthers in the first quarter, but Spring Garden outscored the Lady Cubs 45-7 over the final three quarters. 
 
Hokes Bluff edged Ohatchee 51-46 in the seventh-place game. The Lady Eagles went 9-for-15 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter after Ohatchee rallied in the third to get the game tied. They were 24-for-44 from the line for the game, Ohatchee 6-for-11. Kristen Shields led the winners with 17 points, going 10-of-15 from the line. Ohatchee’s Jorda Crook led all scorers with 18.

The rest of the all-tournament team included Alexandria’s Ashley Phillips, Spring Garden’s Ace Austin and Kayley Kirk, Cherokee County’s Jordan Starr, Gadsden City’s Camille Jenkins, Handley’s Grace Rittenhouse and Collinsville’s Hadley Hamilton.

TALLADEGA –
Jamya Tyus scored 12 of her game-high 27 points in the third quarter as McAdory pulled away. The Lady Yellow Jackets took advantage of a shorthanded Sacred Heart squad in the getaway game. The Lady Cardinals were missing three players — Myiah Harris, Alisia Person and Joelle Tillery — and were held to their lowest point total of the young season. Amiyah Buchanan led the Lady Cardinals with 10 points.
